This article is for V2 and V1 3D scanners.
The Project Editor is designed to allow the user to make and edit multiple scans of an object.
Sometimes a single scan can miss a feature of an object, like the bottom or top, that can be captured by performing another scan at a different angle (i.e. with the object on its side).
To add an additional scan to your project, click +new scan button.
Each scan in the project is a 3D point cloud and will appear as an entry in the the Point Cloud Control toolbox. In the image above, there are three point clouds/scans, called "Right side", "Left side", and "Bottom". Next to each scan are three icons, allowing you to:
Click to turn on/off scan visibility. Scans must be visible to clean or align them.
Click to delete the scan from the project.
Click to align/un-align a scan to the other scan.
The Project Editor also includes the point cloud Cleaning tools. Point clouds should be cleaned of noise/error points prior to alignment and/or meshing.
